What Shall We Do When the Govt. Shuts Down?

First of all, I would like to say how glad I am to still be employed. The federal shutdown that was threatened this week was a very real problem for me, along with the other 800,000 federal employees that would have been in trouble had the government actually shut down. AmeriCorps as a program is still in danger. Until they tell us what has been decided, it will still be a bit tense for all of us. Keep your fingers crossed!

Something positive that came of the scare was a very inspirational speech from my team leader, Joe. He mentioned us "Hitting this town harder than it has ever been hit before" Since Greensburg was hit by an EF-5, this is a particularly impressive image. It also inspired the following song.
Before you read this there are some things to consider.
1) Its based upon this outrageously annoying song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4s6H4ku6ZY -just pretend you can hear the bass while you read ;-)

2) Its a work in progress

3) No offense meant

"Like an F6"

Popping roofs off your house- like a bottle

When we come through town we do it right- going full throttle

Spin you round so fast- till your dizzy

Put you up in a trailer- FEMA_izzy

Look at the cars fly – like an F6

Ripping up trees- like an F6

Throwing round a tub – like an F6

Breaking down the concrete- like an F6
