I forgot to add the greatest victory of all on vacation: I found PEANUT BUTTER!!!!!!! I looked all over for it in St. Petersburg, the window to the west, and could I find any of theis western icon of civilization? No. But in teeeny weeny Medvezhegorsk- there was a whole peanut butter section of the "produkti" store. Oh my goodness, I feasted like a king that night- I was having serious withdrawal earlier.
