The raindrops on my window
Cast a prism of light upon the pillow.
Another dawning, another day.
The dark and dank are now departed
Still, the cares whittle at my soul,
One piece at a time.
I throw these hunters off the scent
In a field of daffodils,
Sunshine solidified at my feet.
They neither spin nor toil,
And yet, regard the simple splendor
No cloak of cares to be seen.
Existing but to bring joy to the beholder
A smile to tuck away.
Through the hard times ahead.
I will be your sunshine,
That bright spot in your day.
I live to share this dazzling
In a field of merry daffodils,
Concerns dropping as the petals
Sing with me, in the breaking of day
